Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP®) is a therapeutic system to rejuvenate hair loss and hair thinning but using the body’s natural ability to stimulate hair follicles for thicker, healthier hair. PRP® is extracted from a blood sample drawn at the time of appointment which is then separated using a centrifuge device. The PRP® is autologous, meaning obtained from the same individual, thereby reducing the chance of any infection. It is then injected around the area of need and growth factors from the PRP® will in-turn stimulate growth of hair follicles. The procedure takes approximately 30-45 minutes. It is recommended to do 4-6 treatments spaced a month apart. There is no downtime and discomfort is minimal.
